5 biggest mistakes I made as an affiliate marketer
1. Thinking Affiliate marketing is easy: It is not. As thousands and thousands of people come online finding a way to make money, it’s time only people with know how, who will survive the game. It is getting tougher but still has a long way to go.
2. Lurking around in forums to find the magic bullet. You can pick up great tips at forums however they are like a garbage dump where you should have the knack of separating useless banter from solid advice. A better option is to pick a book by an authority on the subject.
3. Being unproductive: I was shocked one day to find I hardly worked 3-4 hours a day. Most of the other time went into opening emails, reading Rss feeds and browsing the internet for more information, downloading a free ebook or report and reading it. I don’t have a recognized term to define this, but all affiliate marketers are information addicts. In essence I failed to put value to time.
4. Being a jumping jack: A new ebook ,a new mindset .That's the way i functioned in the first few months. Sometimes it was ppc , sometimes niche content websites, sometimes opt in lists and other times blogging.
5. Not giving it much time to work: Getting frustrated when not getting immediate results. The thought of instant gains is poison to a business. Businesses take time to grow. Learn the necessary skills and trust the power of time.
